Ysgol Cambrian is a brand-new Additional Learning Needs (ALN) school providing specialist education for pupils aged 3–19. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new school community from its very beginning, helping to shape provision, culture and practice to ensure the very best outcomes for our pupils.

We are seeking enthusiastic, committed and flexible teachers who are passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with a wide range of additional learning needs.

The Role

As a Teacher at Ysgol Cambrian, you will:
  • Teach pupils in line with the school’s curriculum, planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
  • Adapt teaching to meet individual educational, personal and social needs
  • Assess, record and report on pupil progress and attainment
  • Promote pupils’ wellbeing and positive behaviour, maintaining high standards of care, discipline, health and safety
  • Provide guidance and support to pupils and communicate effectively with parents and carers
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies and support staff
  • Contribute to meetings, reviews, appraisal processes and whole-school development
  • Take part in professional learning and continuous professional development
  • Undertake administrative and organisational responsibilities in line with the role

We are looking for candidates who:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Can motivate pupils and maintain positive behaviour
  • Have a strong understanding of pupil needs and the ability to adapt teaching accordingly
  • Can work collaboratively and follow agreed procedures
  • Are flexible, reflective and committed to inclusive practice
  • Are committed to equal opportunities
  • Have excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Have a strong working knowledge of ICT
  • Are committed to ongoing professional development
