Term time only (including INSET days and Professional Learning on Wednesday and Thursday)

Monday, Tuesday and Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm
Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm

The Interim Executive Headteacher and Governing Body of Lliswerry Primary School are looking to appoint X3 Teaching Assistants who will play an important role in supporting the progress of our pupils and inspiring them to love learning. The successful candidates should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, creative and committed to raising standards and helping children to thrive.

We are looking for teaching assistants who can demonstrate:-

• experience of working with children (particularly in Foundation Phase) to support their progress/development/needs and promote high expectations,
• a passion to inspire children to learn
• an understanding of mentoring strategies and behaviour management
• the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all members of the school community, including parents and carers.

We are a highly inclusive community focused school whose aim is to develop excellent relationships with all stakeholders in school and also with external partners and the wider community. We are looking for Teaching Assistants who strive for excellence and will be able to contribute to the aims of the school. These posts are offered on a permanent basis.

The appointment process will involve an interview with the Interim Executive Headteacher and the Senior Leader Team.
