Learning Resource Base Teaching Assistant

One Year Fixed Term Contract (with a possibility of extension)

Do you have the skills, passion and desire to be a teaching assistant in our new Learning Resource Base?

The children, staff and Governing Body of Maesglas Primary School are looking to appoint two dynamic, enthusiastic and committed teaching assistants with a passion for working with pupils with additional leaning needs.

Maesglas Primary School is part of the Gaer and Maesglas Primary School Federation. The school is situated in the heart of the Maesglas community and is committed to making a positive difference to the lives of our children and families.

Applications are invited from candidates who are proven to be effective, enthusiastic, experienced and committed teaching assistants who wish to join our highly successful and nurturing school.

For this post, we are looking for candidates with a successful track record of supporting children with Additional Learning Needs.

The posts are fixed term for one year and offered on a part time basis of 32 hours and 30 minutes per week, over 39 weeks per year (term time only). Hours of work will be Monday to Friday: 8.30am -3.30pm term time only.

The successful applicants will work under the guidance/direction of the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and ALNCo and support the teacher in the Learning Resource Base

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
