Are you passionate about community engagement and making a real difference in people's lives? We're looking for a Community Coach to join our team at Eastern High School, working in partnership with Cardiff and Vale College. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference by acting as a vital link between the school, the college, and the local community.The post holder will be based at Eastern High community college and within the community four days a week and attend our main Dumballs Road Campus 1 day per week. They will need to have the ability to work both in a team setting and also on their own to support the community and students through appropriate and targeted interventions.
Working collaboratively with the family liaison officer at Eastern High, cross-college support, and external partners agencies this role will focus on improving community engagement, growing the adult learning provision and creating new provision/ opportunities for children, young people and adults. The successful candidate will also support with pastoral concerns or questions on site and act as a liaison between the college, school and wider community.
As a Community Coach, you'll:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, learners, and community partners.
- Work closely with the Family Liaison Officer and other support teams to understand and respond to community needs.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that re-motivate learners and support personal development.
- Promote and grow adult learning opportunities in the local area.
- Support pastoral needs and act as a key liaison between the school, college, and community.

- Have experience in community engagement, education, or youth work.
- Are passionate about helping others reach their potential.
- Can develop creative, person-centred strategies to support learners and families.
- (Bonus!) Speak Welsh and can engage with learners through the medium of Welsh.
