CARETAKER/CLEANER
G04 £10,040 - £10,199 per annum
17.5 hours per week 39 weeks per year
The Governors of Minera VA School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Caretaker to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff.
The successful candidate should be a practical and self-motivated person with a positive attitude, who is able to use initiative in caring for our building and school site to a high standard.
The person appointed will be responsible for keeping our school secure and will possess the ability to undertake minor maintenance repairs and carry out safety checks as required and ensure adequate records are maintained. They will ensure the efficient removal of waste from the building and the grounds, including recycling, and ensure that the outdoors is kept clear of weeds, litter and debris.
As a main key holder, the person will also be responsible for daily unlocking and locking of the school. The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision of the cleaners at the school.
The successful applicant will organise the cleaning of the school interior to a high standard of cleanliness and ensure stocks are replenished as required.
Experience is desirable, however training can be given.
An Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
